Spotlight: Arnon Nampa’s Case at #ICSW2025

The case of jailed Thai human rights defender and lawyer Arnon Nampa was powerfully highlighted.

Arnon is currently serving a 29-year prison sentence following multiple convictions related to his peaceful activism and public calls for democratic reform in Thailand. His case was presented by Thai Lawyers for Human Rights, with Akarachai, a member of Arnon’s legal team, sharing sobering insights into the legal repression faced by activists in the region.

The presentation formed part of the Stand As My Witness campaign, which calls for international solidarity with imprisoned human rights defenders worldwide.
